BIG NEWS: We’re moving back to Southern California, where we each lived for many years before journeying north.
Some background: In 1999 we left our home in La Mesa, California (near San Diego) and moved to Fresno, where Bert (a mental health professional) took a job at Kaiser Permanente and I committed to violin study with a fantastic teacher. Three years later, the search for cleaner air brought us to the San Francisco Bay Area, where Bert worked at numerous branches of Kaiser and I renewed my technical writing career, this time in biotech.
The delightful constant during this odyssey was our additional work as wedding and special event musicians, which allowed us to do what we love best–playing music–and explore places in California we would never have visited before. Visit the main page of our website to see some of the venues we have played.
Now that Bert is retired from Kaiser, we’ll have more time than ever to accept musical engagements from our new home in Fallbrook, CA. Bert previously lived in this quaint village when we met in 1995. Located in North San Diego county east of Oceanside, Fallbrook is known for its avocados, Arabian horses, and art galleries. It is a peaceful retreat where we will practice music, compose write, make music videos, and travel to weddings and special events.
Fallbrook’s excellent location will allow us to accept bookings in San Diego, Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles counties beginning late spring of 2012.
We’ll post on our website (http://www.flutesoffancy.com) and on this blog when our move is completed and share with you the progress of this adventure!
